Enjoyment
Know what they really enjoy doing early on.
The school years are an important time in a child's life. This is when a child start to build the foundation for what they will learn in the future the skills they will have and the kind of work they will do.

FOUNDATION FIRST
Discovering what you like and what kind of person you are.
When children are in school people usually focus on how they do in their classes how they perform and whether they join clubs or teams. These things are important but school is also the place where children start to figure out what they like what they are good at and what kind of person they are.

When students are in school the decisions they make are often influenced by external factors.
How well they do in their classes can overshadow their true capabilities.
What subjects or activities are popular at the moment.
What their friends and family think they should do.
These things can give students some ideas. They do not always show what students are really capable of.
Identifying the unique internal traits that shape a student's true potential.
Things they like and do not like, beyond the curriculum.
Way of adapting, thinking and learning that is unique to them.
Strengths that may not be obvious from their grades.
If students do not understand these things about themselves, they may have a hard time making decisions later.
“School is not about choosing a career. It is about learning more about yourself.”
Know what they really enjoy doing early on.
Understand what they are good at beyond their grades.
Feel more confident about themselves and their future.
Make decisions when they are older, like classes after 10th grade.
KUC SUPPORT
At KUC they do not try to get students to decide on a career when they are still in school. Instead, we help children and parents understand them better.
Helping students think about what they like, understand personality, and figure out decision-making skills.
Discover skills that can be worked on over time, not just based on grades.

“The school years are the beginning... The Foundation Stage is where the student's journey truly begins.”
